gone down: Not on the scooter. Once on a
motorbike at a music festival in
England and managed to make it look
something like a dramatic but
deliberate dismount!
Scooters Owned: 2008 Red Stella "Rex the Runt"
Scooter Story: Spent my formative years in
Manchester, England listening to
Mod & Ska. Couldn't afford a
scooter at the time but watched
from the sidelines for years. Saw
Sportique's scooter stand at the
2009 Modernism Exhibition in
Denver and was convinced that the
time was right to get my own scooter
(it had to be a classic style, of course).
Now I'm reliving the youth I could have
had if I had been cool enough! I'm
going for the all-out Mod look for Rex,
it's going to take some time but I think
it will be worth it.
